The new APS Advisory Board recently met in Atlanta, GA to discuss topics that are of interest to all independent school photographers.

The goals of the Advisory Board are:

  1. To research, test and develop the best communication alternative for the independent school photographer who is transitioning to filmless capture.
  2. To research current marketing trends to aid in acquiring new school accounts.  New product concepts and services will be developed in conjunction with APS to help you grow your business.
  3. To research, test and merchandise new products and services to increase buy rate and sales average per student.  To direct APS in the design of necessary merchandising flyers to support the independent school photographer.
  4. To provide the voice of independent photographers from the APS buying group to communicate to PSPA on pertinent issues such as yearbook specs and requirements.  To serve as a communication link between APS dealers and both PSPA and yearbook companies.
  5. To research and test the best portrait lighting techniques for filmless capture.  In addition, to solicit from the APS buying group lighting techniques, posing options, props and backgrounds to be shared by the group.
